On March 27, the southern gate of the traditional Chinese medicine market in Chengdu International Trade City, located in the core area of the northern new city of Chengdu, was bustling with merchants as the daily plastic products market officially opened. Industry insiders revealed that the market is expected to achieve an annual transaction amount of over 6 billion yuan, accounting for more than 85% of Chengdu's distribution share for such products. According to a relevant person in charge of Chengdu International Trade City, after the market opened, the expected annual transaction amount will exceed 6 billion yuan, accounting for more than 85% of Chengdu's distribution share for such products, directly driving over 50,000 jobs. The person in charge revealed that in the largest livelihood project of Chengdu's northern transformation plan, no wholesale markets will be established within the ring expressway in the future, making Chengdu International Trade City the main receiving area for daily wholesale markets in the central urban area. "The grand opening of the daily plastic products market is a concrete action of Chengdu International Trade City contributing to the northern transformation project. Merchant Chen Song has been in the plastic products business in Hehua Pool for 15 years, with annual sales growing at a rate of 20%. He told reporters that the original 50 square meters of space in the market was far from sufficient. At the same time, the backward supporting facilities in the entire Hehua Pool market area made him anxious, as daily parking, freight, and storage were inconvenient. "We contacted the Chengdu Hehua Pool Individual Association to express our desire to relocate to the new market, and now it has been confirmed that we will move to Chengdu International Trade City, which we are very satisfied with."

Zhu Wenrong, a director of Chengdu International Trade City, stated that the market has decided to fully accommodate the merchants of the daily plastic products market on the second floor of the market's six blocks, with a maximum temporary transition period of two years. After the merchants from Hehua Pool relocate here, the market will open online stores for them one by one, and will also match corresponding storage areas and logistics services for merchants around the market.
